Apollo Brown & Skyzoo | 'A Couple Dollars' feat. Joell Ortiz

Detroit producer Apollo Brown and New York City's lyrical brainchild Skyzoo, are putting their money where their mouths are.

'A Couple Dollars' is the second official single from their upcoming LP together titled The Easy Truth, releasing on September 30, and they've enlisted the help of Joell Ortiz - a notable Brooklyn born emcee and highly regarded member of Slaughterhouse - to jump on and tell his story in this new track.

Skyzoo explains the direction taken with 'A Couple Dollars' from his standing.

"Coming up, I saw certain things in my neighborhood, which led to certain aspirations, which led to motivation of all sorts. This record is about how those things come about, and how they started in the first place, dating back 400+ years ago, as pointed out in the second verse. This song stands as another testament to who, what, when, where and why as far as how it is in my neighborhood."

Two veterans to the game that never shy away from hard truths, and a banging beat to express them.
